How pharmacy licensing works in Oklahoma.
New Oklahoma pharmacists, including those transferring in, attend an in-person interview with the board after passing the law exam. Technicians need a board permit and complete on-the-job training in two phases.
NAPLEX plus the Oklahoma MPJE
The board requires an accredited pharmacy degree, at least 1,500 hours of supervised practice training, and passing scores on the NAPLEX and the Oklahoma MPJE.
NABP transfer and interview
Pharmacists with an active, unrestricted original license and at least a year's experience transfer through NABP's e-LTP, pass the Oklahoma MPJE and attend a board interview.
Technician permit
Technicians need a high school diploma or GED and a board permit. They complete Phase I training before applying and Phase II within 90 days of the permit being issued.
In person, not virtual
After passing the law exam, applicants choose an in-person interview date with the board. Virtual interviews are not allowed, so relocating pharmacists should plan a trip to Oklahoma.
