Pharmacist
Overview
Retail pharmacy without the churn. We're hiring a licensed Pharmacist for an outpatient, community-based pharmacy in San Angelo, TX, where you'll recognize most of the names on the scripts you fill. You'll run the full scope of the role: verification, counseling, immunizations, prescriber calls, and leading your tech team. It's a busy bench, but it's the same patients, the same staff.

Specific Skills
- Active pharmacist license
- Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge and patient-care skills
- Experience with sterile compounding preferred
- Experience with chemotherapy and/or parenteral nutrition is a plus
- Knowledge of renal dosing, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation, and clinical interventions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Pharmacy technician supervision experience is a plus
Responsible For
- Accurately fill and dispense prescription medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness, checking for drug interactions, allergies, and dosing accuracy
- Counsel patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions
- Communicate with prescribers to clarify orders and resolve discrepancies
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and support staff
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policy
- Maintain accurate patient records and prescription documentation
- Administer immunizations as needed and where licensed
- Participate in inventory management and controlled substance tracking
- Provide excellent customer service in a retail pharmacy environment
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure smooth pharmacy operations and quality patient care
