Compounding Pharmacist

We’re looking for an experienced Compounding Pharmacist to join a growing pharmacy team where you’ll play an important role in both high-quality medication preparation and pharmacy operations.

This is a great opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys compounding, takes pride in precision and quality, and wants to have a real influence on how a pharmacy department operates. You’ll work closely with pharmacy technicians, providers, and patients while helping maintain the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and compliance.

Specific Skills
  • Active pharmacist license in Florida
  • Previous compounding pharmacy experience
  • Strong understanding of USP <795> and USP <800>
  • Experience preparing compounded medications to appropriate quality and safety standards
  • Leadership experience or the ability to effectively train and manage pharmacy technicians
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Organized, dependable, and quality-focused
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information
Responsible For
  • Oversee daily pharmacy and technician operations within the applicable department
  • Train, develop, and monitor pharmacy technicians to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and quality
  • Prepare compounded medications in accordance with USP <795> and USP <800> standards
  • Ensure compounded preparations meet appropriate standards for quality, strength, purity, packaging, and labeling
  • Process prescriptions accurately using pharmacy software
  • Consult with patients and healthcare providers regarding compounded and traditional medications
  • Manage inventory and supplies to ensure technicians have everything needed to keep workflow moving
  • Support department workflow and productivity while maintaining a strong focus on quality
  • Follow state regulations, good pharmacy practices, and applicable PCAB standards
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the pharmacy team
