- Monday to Friday 9 am – 5:30 pm (Rotating weekends)

We are currently partnered with a fantastic hospital in Belleville, IL that is looking for a Clinical Pharmacist to join them in a full-time position.
The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications by patients in the hospital. This includes conducting medication reviews, making clinical recommendations, providing patient education, and participating in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct medication reviews to assess the appropriateness, safety, and effectiveness of patients' medication regimens.
- Make clinical recommendations to physicians and other healthcare professionals on medication dosage, administration, and monitoring.
- Provide patients with information on their medications, including how to take them safely and effectively, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Participate in clinical research studies to evaluate the safety and efficacy of new medications and to improve medication use practices.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to improve the safety and effectiveness of medication use in the hospital.
- Teach and mentor pharmacy students, pharmacy residents, and other healthcare professionals on medication-related topics.

Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- PGY1 and Clinical/Hospital experience preferred
- Current license to practice pharmacy in the state of Illinois.
- 1-3 years of experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of medication therapy management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
