The Role -
This is a fantastic opportunity for a GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician to play a vital role in managing unit dose medication preparation and automation systems within the hospital. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our partner's automated systems, supporting hospital staff, and maintaining high standards of medication safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities -
- Unit Dose Preparation & Automation, oversee unit dose drug preparation, stock management, and automation processes within the hospital.
- Equipment & System Maintenance, be part of the first-line support and troubleshooting for their automation systems, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Training & Support, you'll deliver training to Pharmacy, Nursing, and Medical staff on using their Automatic Ward Cabinet, keeping training materials up to date.
- You'll assist in developing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with hospital policies.
- You'll participate in on-call rotas or shift work to support the system out of hours during implementation phases.
- You'll resolve system issues along with the wider team, escalate when necessary, and contribute to system enhancements and efficiency improvements.
- You'll work closely with senior pharmacists, service managers, and hospital staff to ensure effective use of the system.
- You'll support the hospital in managing medicines shortages, supply chain challenges, and stock optimisation.
What We’re Looking For
Essential -
- GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician or newly qualified Pharmacist.
- Previous hospital experience preferred (ideally in stock management or manufacturing processes such as aseptics).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for managing stock and reporting data.
Desirable -
- Experience managing medicines shortages and supply issues.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice regulations.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
