Our client is an established private clinic searching for a driven individual to join the team and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. You'll utilise your expertise in ophthalmic diagnostics to support our consultants and ensure smooth clinic operations.

In this rewarding role, you'll:

General 

  • Be a company champion: Welcome patients, ensure smooth clinic operations, maximise efficiency whilst ensuring the satisfaction of patients

  • Support consultant led clinics: Provide a range of diagnostic services, monitor and maintain supplies and stock levels, make safe use of complex and expensive ophthalmic equipment, regularly undertake equipment testing 

Clinical

  • Carry out all diagnostic procedures including;

    • Visual Field Analysis, 

    • Tonometry,

    •  Pachymetry (Using various devices),

    •  Biometry (including Immersion),

    •  OCTs (including Optic Disc & Anterior segment) 

    • and Visual acuities following training to achieve competence if this is not already achieved

  • Support patients through their journey: Be a comforting and encouraging presence while ensuring their privacy and dignity. You'll also play a key role in emergency procedures if required.

  • Maintain a safe and efficient clinic environment:

    • Follow safety protocols

    • Keep equipment clean

    • Report any concerns to ensure smooth operations

  • Work collaboratively: Assist the consultant during examinations and collaborate with other clinic staff for a seamless patient experience.


Administrative

  • Coordinate clinic schedules: Work with administration to plan clinic schedules, considering patient needs and workload.

  • Ensure smooth patient flow: Manage clinic supplies and medications, liaise with consultants for appointments, and answer patient questions.

  • Maintain a safe environment: Report any potential risks or concerns to the Clinical Operations Manager.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Possesses a valid Ophthalmic Technician qualification (Registered nurse / ODP)

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and delivers exceptional results.

  • Demonstrates strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care.

  • Maintains meticulous attention to detail and ensures accuracy.

  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Is a quick learner with a dedication to professional development

  • Is up to date on current theatre practice
