About the Role - 

We are supporting our partner who is a leading provider of advanced automation and traceability solutions for hospitals, specialising in the management of medications and medical devices. We are looking for a high-performing Engineer/Technical Service Operator to implement, manage, and oversee the technical assistance of automated and integrated hospital equipment. This is a role that requires both technical expertise and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure seamless operation of vital healthcare technology.

Key Responsibilities - 

Initial Phase – Equipment Installation & Setup

  • Install and fine-tune automated hospital equipment.
  • Execute hardware implementation in alignment with project milestones.

Ongoing Phase – Technical Support & Maintenance

  • Manage day-to-day technical assistance activities.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to avoid system failures.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and repair system malfunctions.
  • Ensure all services meet the agreed Technical Service Level.
  • Report to management with technical updates and operational insights.
  • Maintain detailed technical reports for internal and headquarters teams.
  • Coordinate work schedules and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Build strong working relationships with pharmacists, nurses, engineers, and doctors.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide crucial support to healthcare staff.

What You Need to Succeed - 

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proven experience in managing and repairing automated equipment.
  • Ability to coordinate hardware and software operations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Critical thinking and an analytical mindset to proactively address technical issues.
  • A hands-on approach to system optimisation and maintenance.

Qualifications & Experience - 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field (preferred).
  • Experience in a healthcare or automated systems environment is highly advantageous.
  • Basic Italian language skills will be a strong advantage.
