We'd like to introduce you all to our new recruit here at Quad Recruitment: Thanos Siachos

Thanos is joining us from another recruitment firm, and we are very happy that he chose us to develop his recruitment career with! We've asked Thanos some questions that I'm sure you'd all like to ask. Such as "what's your go to drink" and "if you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would you eat?"....

We did throw Thanos into the deep end when joining us, by inviting him along to an EXTREME (Trust me) seven-hour underground caving experience. So well done to you Thanos, not everyone would have accepted this challenge before getting to know the team. What a great way to build relationships quickly with your new colleagues. What made you choose recruitment?

Recruitment for me is all about creating valuable relationships with people. I love meeting and talking to new people and helping them to get their dream job.

What is your favourite quote?

My favourite quote is “If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you”, Fred DeVito. Encountering challenges are not enjoyable, but necessary for my growth. In the midst of a challenge, the demand seems overwhelming. Sometimes you question if you are capable of overcoming the obstacle. From the moment I left Greece to come to the UK I have been challenging myself to do things I was afraid to do, and that helped me to grow as a person.

Tell me something interested about yourself?

Won the “best pasta dish 2017” award while I was working for the largest Italian Chain Restaurant brand in the UK

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I enjoy cooking! My passion for cooking started when I was a kid, spending many hours in my grandma’s observing her while she was preparing launch or dinner. She trusted me with many “secret ingredients” for many recipes.

If you could only have one food for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Seafood Pasta!! Firstly, because I LOVE pasta, but more importantly it brings back many nice memories that reminds me of home.

Before working at Quad Recruitment, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

The ancient Greeks began pressing olives more than 5,000 years ago, and the olive oil produced here is considered some of the best in the world. Harvest season takes place between October and January and is traditionally a community affair, with people of all ages gathering to help pluck the bounty by hand. Olive Harvester was my first “official job” at the age of 12.

If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you?

Most probably, George Clooney. One of the greatest actors in the movie industry and a true gentleman.

What's your go to drink?

I am not a massive fan of drinking. However, every time I go out, I order PINK GIN with lemonade.

Pink gin and pasta, I think Thanos will fit in really well with us here! The fridge is always stocked up with pink gin and we've been known to frequent some local Italian restaurants in Chester.
